Paolo Zaccardi is the Co-Founder & CEO of Fabrick and has an established
record as a fintech entrepreneur and CEO who specialises in leading and
partnering with large organisations (banks, payment institutions, and corporates)
to innovate their offerings and build new products and platforms in banking,
payments, and digital services.
With 25 years of experience in senior leadership roles, Mr. Zaccardi has
extensive expertise in digital and mobile banking, global payments, corporate
and SMEs banking, cash management & supply chain finance, Open Banking and PSD2.
Mr. Zaccardi’s educational qualifications include a master’s degree in
electronics engineering, a PMD in General Management from IESE Business School,
and further executive education qualifications from MIT, Harvard, Stanford,
Kellogg, INSEAD, and Berkeley.
Mr. Zaccardi strongly believes that collaboration between fintechs and
incumbents is essential for creating and developing new products and services
that provide consumers with a smooth and personalized experience. Furthermore,
Mr. Zaccardi maintains that such collaborations will increasingly determine an
organisation’s competitiveness in the market. In this regard, the platform model
(such as Fabrick’s) which facilitates collaboration and co-creation, is of
paramount importance. Moreover, Mr. Zaccardi sees banking as a service and
embedded finance as key approaches to unlocking the opportunities of Open
Finance, especially if implemented within an open ecosystem that has a platform
as its founding element.
Mr Zaccardi champions Fabrick’s mission of making innovation easier and
accelerating the time to market of the new services of Fabrick’s partners, with
the end goal of addressing the emergent needs of Fabrick’s partners’ customers,
the final consumer, and the end-user.
