Anna Omarini’s expertise is in bank strategy and management, digital
transformation, digital business, FinTech, Open Banking/Open Finance, and
payments. She has been carrying out her expertise and experience in four major
activities: research, teaching, advisory and being an independent board member
of banks and financial institutions.
She is a Researcher with Tenure at Bocconi University, where she is also
Director for the elective courses Bank and Fintech: Vision and Strategy, and
Fintech for Banking and Financial Transformation.
She is the author of several articles, papers and books, and is an academic
expert on related research issues. She is a speaker and chairperson at many
national and international conferences.
She is a reviewer for several national and international journals on her
research topics, an editorial board member for several Journals, member of
numerous associations, organizations and scientific committees.
Since January 2024, she has been a member of the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)
Academic Advisory Group (AAG) of the Bank of England and the UK Treasury, and a
member of the scientific committee of ItaliaFintech a non-profit organization
for the evolution of FinTech in the financial services industry.
