Deniz is the executive board member of Wamo, pushing product, marketing, and experience with the management team.

He founded the next-generation VC Platform XIT and financial services focus Further Ventures backed by ADQ group; Deniz joined Standard Chartered in 2016 as the Global Head of Digital and Client Experience, which covered 33 countries, where he oversaw client journey and optimizations, digital wealth, and collaborations with tech firms and start-ups.

Following Standard Chartered Bank, he became the founder and CEO of Mox, a new digital bank backed by Standard Chartered Bank in partnership with PCCW, HKT and Trip.com in Hong Kong. He also copied a similar model and tech stack to help the Trust Bank Foundation based in Singapore partner with Fairprices - the largest supermarket chain in Singapore. Mox is the 6th largest lender in HK now, and Trust has approximately 16% market share in the bankable population of Singapore in less than two years.

Before his experience in Asia, Deniz was the senior vice president of BBVA Group’s Garanti Bank in Turkey. During his role at Garanti, Deniz was responsible for end-to-end digital assets and iGaranti, the mobile-only bank in Turkey. Deniz was essential in enabling Garanti to reach 5 million active digital customers and grow its market share in Turkey. Previously, Deniz worked for HSBC, QNB Finansbank, and DemirBank.

He is now a serial investor with over 20 global fintech and holds board memberships from various financial services. Last but not least, he is a board member of Besiktas Football Club, helping the club generate new revenue streams through digital platforms.
