With over 24 years of experience in payments and telecoms, Erik brings deep expertise in cross-border payments, financial inclusion, and regulatory frameworks. Starting his career as a legal counsel at Oberthur (now Idemia), Erik transitioned into business development and marketing roles in cross-border payments and digital goods.

For 12 years, Erik played a key role in building the TransferTo Group (now rebranded as Thunes and DTOne), helping position the company as a leader in global payments. As EVP of Europe & Africa at DTOne, Erik focused on expanding financial inclusion through global micro-payments infrastructure.

Currently, as Head of Strategic Partnerships at Paytop, a Triple-A group company which he joined in 2021, Erik leads efforts in establishing key partnerships and expanding regulatory coverage. Fluent in four languages and having lived and worked in six countries across three continents, Erik brings a global perspective to their work.
